Terms of Use
flyARIA.com is a private website. It is privately owned and operated by Randy L. Losey, a former ARIA crewmember, as a history website and archive of the Apollo / Advanced Range Instrumentation Aircraft program. It is not a government website and is not operated by, affiliated with or endorsed by the U.S. Air Force, the Department of Defense, NASA or any other government agency.
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of flyARIA.com and its pages (the “Site”). By accessing or using the Site you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.
1. Purpose of the Site
The Site records the history of the Apollo / Advanced Range Instrumentation Aircraft (ARIA) program and is dedicated to the crew, passengers and families of ARIA 61-0328. It is offered for personal, non-commercial, educational and remembrance use.
2. Who may use the Site
Restricted users. You are not permitted to access or use the Site if you are subject to any law, regulation, rule, policy or directive of a government agency, including the agency that employs you or that you act for, that prohibits or restricts your access to or use of a privately operated website such as this one, or if your access or use would violate any such law or restriction. Persons acting on behalf of a government agency whose laws or restrictions prohibit such use are not permitted to use the Site. By using the Site, you represent that no such law or restriction prohibits your use. You are solely responsible for knowing and following the rules that apply to you.
You may not use the Site in violation of United States export control or sanctions laws, or if you are a person or are located in a country with whom such dealings are prohibited by those laws.
3. Intellectual property
The Site's original text, design, layout and code, the home page video edit and the personal photographs of Randy L. Losey are owned by Randy L. You may not copy, republish, sell or create derivative works from the Site's original content or contributed material without permission, except as allowed by law (such as fair use).
Sources are credited on each page and on the Credits page. Names, insignia and emblems of government agencies and units belong to those agencies and are used only for identification and history; their appearance does not imply endorsement.
4. Respectful use
You agree not to use the names, images or content of the Site in any way that is disrespectful to those remembered here or their families, misleading, defamatory, or for any commercial purpose. You also agree not to interfere with or disrupt the Site or its hosting, attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Site or its servers, scrape or mirror the Site, or use the Site for any unlawful purpose.
5. Clocks, countdown and map
The GMT clock shows the time reported by your own device. The countdown on the home page is a ceremonial demonstration that repeats every hour; it does not represent any real launch, mission or event. The antenna scope and ground track are illustrations, and map positions are approximate. None of these displays may be relied on for any operational purpose.
6. External links
The Site links to other websites, including ARIAMemorial.com, WorldSpaceLaunch.com and government sources. Those websites have their own terms and privacy practices. We are not responsible for their content or availability.
